IDEAS FOR CHARTERING IN THE GUADELOUPE ARCHIPELAGO

Here are 2 itineraries for your guests to have an idea of what to do & what to see:

 

3 day itinerary POINTE A PITRE - LES SAINTES - DESHAIES

First night in Marina Bas-du-Fort in Pointe à Pitre, ideally located close to the airport for picking-up your new guests. Dinner at one of the many good restaurants at the marina.

 

Day 1: Breakfast at anchorage in front of Ilet Gosier. Snorkeling at the new underwater protected park & kayak or stand up paddle. Sail to Les Saintes and anchor in front of the Bourg. Visit the village of the small boutiques. Do a tour on clear bottom kayaks, go hike the fort or do a trial rock climbing. Option: anchorage at Ilet Cabri with lunch on the beach followed by watersports.

Dinner on board or at Auberge les Petits Saints.

 

Day 2: Dive the famous underwater peak Sec Pate in the SAintes channel. Sail to the leeward side of main island rain forest and anchor in the pretty bay of Deshaies. Watersports at Grande Anse the beautiful big golden sandy beach. Dinner at Le Poisson rouge on the hill or la Savane in town.

 

Day 3: Visit the Botanical Gardens or spend the morning at the amazing new spa of Tendacayou in the midst of nature with an overview of the bay. Head to Antigua or St Kitts and Nevis.

6 day itinerary from Antigua. Deshaies - Cousteau Reserve - Les Saintes - Marie-Galante - Petite-Terre - St Francois - Pointe a Pitre.

 

Day 1: Anchor in the bay of Deshaies. Stroll along the beach and swim or kayak. Visit of the Botanical Gardens. Or spend the morning at the amazing new spa of Tendacayou in the midst of nature with an overview of the bay. Dinner at Poisson Rouge or La Savane.

 

Day 2: Sail to Ilets Pigeon. Dive or snorkel the famous Cousteau Reserve. Lunch at Rocher de Malendure. If kids on board: go to the zip line and climb the trees top. Visit the zoo and farm. Or wander in the chocolate and coffee museums. Dinner at an old coffee plantation house.

 

Day 3: Explore the rain forest. Swim in the riverfall of Saut d'Acomat. For the most courageous hike the Volcano or go canyoning and absailing. Go see the longest river falls of Les chutes du carbet on the south tip on the island.

 

Day 4: Sail to the Iles des Saintes. Rated one of the 10 most beautiful bays in the world. See above for activities.

 

Day 5: Sail to Marie-Galante. Anchor off Saint Louis or the secluded beaches of Moutitque nearby. Explore the small laidback island with a visit of a rhum factory and local delicacies. Try a tour on an old cart pulled by bulls. Have a grilled fish at la Feuillere beach in Capesterre followed by a kite surf lesson in the lagoon.

Alternative: Petite-Terre Marine Park: snorkeling at the shark nursery, walking tour to the lighthouse to see the iguanas and birds and beach BBQ.

 

Day 6: Sail to St Francois marina early. Golf at the prestigious refitted 18 holes designed by R.Trent. Skydive above the Pointe des Chateaux. Or just drive to the Pointe des Chateaux where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean See and get a coconut sorbet. Sail back to Marina Bas-du-Fort in Pointe a Pitre. Dinner and wine or cocktails at Marina Bas-du-Fort.
